abstract = "Natural resources in the Guajar{\'a} Bay (Bel{\'e}m-PA) are
threatened by several human activity, stand out industrial
pollution by heavy mineral and urban effluent that are dairy
spilled on bay. However, the localization of Miramar oil terminal,
which is responsible for oil storing derived around Bel{\'e}m
city, is a danger for potential oil spills, moreover, the ships
and tankers that crossing the bay every day are a threat too. The
aim this paper is carry out an environmental sensitivity index
(ESI) analysis of Amazon Coast for oil spills, and to provide a
environmental sensitivity index map for the region, using for
this, a hybrid image (SAR/optical). The digital integration of
Radarsat-1 and Landsat-7 data allowed a better discrimination of
the main coastal features and ESI.",
